Love Is….Continued
Love is Continued
As the holidays season begins we are
Bombarded with images of gifts and
Instances of giving and sharing.
Sometimes we need to step back and
Remember how we got to this place and
time.
Love is…Holding hands on a cool day
walking through the snow.
Love is…Smelling the aromas’ from the
kitchen as Grandma and Mother bake and
prepare the big Thanksgiving dinner.
Love is…Hearing the children as they
play outside in the yard with the fall
leaves, the crisp blue sky and the
chill in the air make everything seem
fresh.
Love is…Cuddling under a blanket with
someone special in front of a glowing
fire place.
These are the things I feel spell out
special holiday meaning for me. As we
mature through our years and leave
behind the things we once thought were
important we soon realize the things
that ARE. We want balance and
consistency. Steady work and less
stress! But then reality comes back in
and I’m not saying we can’t have those
things, but they do take work. Make
sure that you take the time this
holiday season to let the people close
to you know you appreciate them and the
things they do for you as well as
others. Make time for yourself, do
things that you enjoy and learn to take
a moment to reflect on your day week or
month and see where you could have made
a change.
